Tablet Crunch Asus Transformer Prime Sells Out At Amazon Robert Holland
Wow… the Tranformer Prime may be hotter than I suspected. Amazon has actually cancelled orders placed on the Asus Tranformer Prime tablet on or after November 22nd.
The cause?
Demand simply outstripped supply.
And unfortunately for those that actually got in a pre order of the Transformer Prime, they’ll be getting a refund – but no tablet.
I recently made a prediction that the Asus Transformer Prime would actually fail.
My thought is that pricing a tablet – even a quad core, Android 4.0 tablet – over $200 or $300 dollars, and putting the tablet in the price range of the iPad, is a huge mistake.
But apparently, at least in the pre order phase, the Asus Tranformer Prime has been seeing some pretty high demand.
